Since the weather is getting warmer (hah knock on wood... cold front coming again), I'm looking for something nice and cool. I don't want Oakleys since everyone has those. I am placing high emphasis on comfort as well.

So far I am thinking from here (http://www.ripcurl.com/content/anmviewer.asp?a=1671&z=86) but I'd like to hear more ideas or recommendations from others.

I have no plans to wear these sunglasses for poker though if they happen to work out conveniently for that as well I might.

yeah, oakleys used to be cool, now they are just the staple of white trash and people who cant let go of the 80s/early 90s

Rudy Projects (http://www.rudyproject.com/) however are the [censored]. They also have incredible customer service, and a hell of a lens replacement deal

So... you want something that looks kinda like Oakleys, but doesn't have the Oakley mark on it?

Fossil Sunglasses are the way to go if you don't wanna drop a ton of money on shades. Or if you do, I bet they can hook you up too.

I remember seeing a pair of Ray Bans I actually liked in a shop once. I generally don't like Ray Bans, but this pair was good. I don't think they give them intelligible or memorable names/IDs.

I wear Maui Jims.

around ~150 or so, but I've had these for around 5 years now.

Love em.

Go to Sunglasses Hut and get Armani shades for $39.99.

At least the local store here has them... worth looking into to see if they have them near you.

Maybe you should PM a certain 2+2er and ask him where to get some really neat hologram sunglasses. I think they would fit your style schneids. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

You could also look at Ray-Bans at Sunglass Hut.

I have a pair, and I absolutely love them.

Someone recommended Fossil sunglasses, but I would not advise Fossil. I have had two pair from Fossil, and both broke from normal wear and tear in less then 6 months. My Ray-bans on the other hand have held up for a couple of years.

I have Serengetis. I have dropped them numerous times and they haven't broken yet. I've never had a pair of any type of glasses last this long.

When your not naked hot tubbing it with a bunch of guys, venture out into the real world sometime. Try a NASCAR event, where white trash and oakley go hand in hand. But im sure you know everything there is to know about rednecks and white trash, seeing as how you are from new england, much more so than someone who grew up on a farm and actually lives in areas where these types congregate.

you are trying HARD man, yet you still come off as an idiot. maybe you should adopt an "opposite" strategy, much like seinfeld's george costanza.

anyway, i live in boston, nowhere near anything NASCAR. i know next to nothing about TRUE WHITE TRASH CULTURE like you do. just seems silly to me to think that sunglasses worth hundreds of dollars scream white trash to you.

trying hard? with you thats never something I've had to do.

You are always hyping up peoples inability to master reading comprehension, yet you obviosuly didnt read my original post. Where did I say they scream white trash? I merely said that white trash like oakleys. Id elaborate about the difference between the two statements, but you're obviously a smart enough guy to grasp it.
