Go with the cheese steak, since you said you need something greasy.

I forget where you live, but I doubt the chowder is gonna be worth a damn.

Enjoy.

New York, and agreed...though last week Jake told me to get the Seafood Chowder and it actually wasn't bad.

New deli and it was on the menu, had to give it a shot.

Actually it's a second try, the first time they only put a tiny bit of BBQ sauce. This time I asked for extra.

I don't know if you are familiar, but all across Long Island (and I never see this anywhere) delis and these specific types of restaurant type places that serve all you can drink beer/wine/soda and unlimited salad (Bunnery Pub, Corner Galley, Adelaides) sell the most delicious sandwich, it's staple is roast beef (though other variations is chicken, pork, steak, added bacon) on toasted garlic bread with mozzarella.

It's the best thing in the world. And if anyone is ever in Massapequa, they should go to the Corner Galley and get one.

it's indian food. navratan means "nine jewels" (there are nine main vegetables in it) and korma is a gravy like sauce usually made with nuts and cream.

here's the recipe:

navratan korma: this name (navratan) actually means nine jewels, since
there are 9 main ingredients. all amounts/cooking times are
approximate.

1 potato
2 carrots
1 pkg frozen peas (~2 cups)
a bunch of french beans
some cashews
some raisins
2 cans diced tomatos
1/4 cup cottage cheese
1/4 cup cream
1 large spanish onion
ghee or olive oil (I use oil)

wet masala
-------
2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp ginger
1 tbsp sea salt

instructions: grind/puree these together.

dry masala
---------
1 tsp turmeric
1 tblsp garam masala
1 tsp coriander
1/4 tsp chili powder

instructions: mix spices together, can be toasted for a minute to bring
out flavor.

main instructions:

boil carrots, peas, potatos, beans briefly until half cooked or so,
drain water off when done. meanwhile, saute onion, wet masala in oil
until golden brown, add dry masala and cashews/raisins and saute for
another 2 minutes. combine onions, vegetables and diced tomatos, simmer
for 20 minutes or until vegetables are cooked. add cottage cheese and
cream and simmer for an additional 4 minutes or so, or until it reaches
desired consistency/heat.

alternate path: some people apparently puree the onion/spice mixture.
whatever. also, for a less tomato flavor use 1 can of diced tomatos and
a little vegetable stock. using two cans gives a more tomato flavor
than
the tasty bite version.
