Has anyone joined this yet?

For those who don't know. Amazon is creating a membership that costs $79 a year. You get unlimited free two day shipping and one day shipping costs $3.99.

Do you live in freakin' Rekjavic? Even when I went to school in the middle of nowhere (UP of MI), it only took 3-5 days.

Overnight for $4? That's insane, I think they're gonna lose al lot of cash on this.

no way. think of how many people will pay the $79 and not make the most of it. if nothing else that would make up for a discount in overnight, though i doubt they're losing money on overnight. they certainly have a deal with ups. they're not stupid...they wouldn't do this if it weren't in their best financial interest.

do you think mcdonalds loses money by charging less than a dollar for a hamburger?

it says in the agreement that by signing up you agree to whatever pricing they jack it up to in the future automatically (its introductory price is $79/yr) and that it only works on 'eligible' items.
