Assume a typical game.Average aggression/passivness.

Do you raise preflop 100%of the time?

Opinions on turn and river also.

Just completing pf is fine. You can raise depending on how loose the MP limper is and how tight the BB is. Raising is never going to be much of a mistake, if any though.

I don't think your river bluff is going to work often enough. Remember, the majority of the time you bet this and he folds, your hand would have been good anyway, so it does you no good to have bet it. I know when you make this play and he folds that it feels like the right play, but that doesn't mean it was.

I agree. When he called the turn I thought I could only win with a bet.

Thanks for the response.

I do, FWIW.

I don't see anything you beat folding the river. I think the turn play is fine though.

Everyone here is recommending raising A4s from the small blind with one limp and the big blind. I am not sure I follow the logic in this one being a 100% raise. Don't you want the BB along if you flop 2 spades? I dont think the raise will make the BB fold a better hand than A4s.

Most of the hands the limp will have are going to be better than A4s. 55+, A5+ What is the reasoning behind this raise? I can understand wanting to take control of the hand but in this situation you might wind up heads up, out of position, with an easily dominated flop. I can understand taking over the lead pre-flop and hoping the limper misses, but chances are you will miss harder.

Also: at what point would you not raise from the SB. With an extra limper or two? What if the hand was KTs?

Poker is confusing.....

Unless the limper is very tight/passive preflop (in which case I may just complete), A4s is usually the best starting hand.

this is a questions I've had with my 6max games...so even if BB will never fold you raise all Axs from sb after 1 limper?
