Penn & Teller: Bullshit is an excellent show on Showtime that you can find online. They debunk all kinds of BS from UFO abductees to recycling, kinda like Harry Houdini did as he got older. Only two seasons out there right now but it was recently picked up for a third.

Apprentice is like, the greatest reality show of all time.
Penn and Teller is like, the most annoying duo of all time.

The Office, series 1 and 2 (plus the two-hour special). Fantastic stuff. I don't normally like much BBC stuff, and I absolutely loved this.

I second that. It is very British/European though and walks a fine line between hilarity and depression. I heard that they would make an Americanized version, Is this already out? Any good?
On the topic: You will probably laugh, but The Andy Griffith Show is still the best show ever, IMO.
Other notable BritComs: Absolutely Fabulous and Fawlty Towers.

TV DVD Essentials:
Feaks and Geeks
The Office
Also, as others have mentioned, Sports Night is great. But the first two are pure genius, especially Freaks and Geeks.

If you liked Adult swim cartoons, family guy, simpsons, etc.
You could give The Critic a try.
You also need Futurama.

I concur. I just watched the two-hour special last night. Excellent stuff. Especially the extra stuff, where it turns out Ricky Gervais is exactly David Brent in real life.

if you are down with mini-series and curious about war stuff, Band of Brothers is simply amazing.
There's some other series done by Spielburg (I believe) called Generations or something like that about a family and it's contact with aliens. Pretty good as well, slow though at the start.

Yeah..I was going to say The Critic.
You included Dr Katz on your list and that definitely puts you a notch above the ordinary.
