Any recommendations? I am looking to spend <$150.00, I like the in-ear ones. What's good?

these are well worth the price.

Some others (http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_BrowseCatalog-Start?CategoryName=pa_PADepartmentAccessories_Head phones_StreetStyle&Dept=pa)

But they hurt my ears after wearing them a couple hours.

sfer just asked this question last week. Try searching for that thread because there were lots of responses.

I have the Shure E2c's. they rule.

Try the Sony Studio Monitor Series MDR-V600's, they sound great, and dont hurt your ears after wearing them long periods of time...they usually cost around $100, and IMHO are a great deal...

Same response I gave last week: Etymotic ER-6i. Great isolation, great sound, they look sweet and they stay in your ears.

Similar thread last week. (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=exchange&Number=162139 9&Forum=,,,,All_Forums,,,,&Words=&Searchpage=3&Lim it=25&Main=1621399&Search=true&where=&Name=7540&da terange=&newerval=&newertype=&olderval=&oldertype= &bodyprev=#Post1621399)

Also, there's apparently a belief that having an iPod makes you a lemming.

Ok guys sorry for the duplication - dunno how I missed sfer's thread, but I'm reading through it now.

Thanks,

If you use them when you're being active, be aware that any canalphones are gonna cause occulation (hearing your footsteps, chewing, etc). Go check out this (http://www6.head-fi.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=2) site for some really good recommendations. It all depends on how you're gonna use your iPod.

Here's what a lot of people say about iPod recommendations for the average listener:

I would whole-heartedly recommend the Sharp md-33's for use out of an ipod. They have plenty of bass and are somewhere in between an earbud and a canalphone. Well, technically, I guess they are canalphones but they don't go as far in your canal as the etys or shures. Very comfortable, portable and relatively cheap $39 + $10 shipping from www.audiocubes.com (http://www.audiocubes.com)
These would be a huge upgrade from your stock buds.

Sharp md-33s (http://www.audiocubes.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=sharp+33&osCsi d=8b477e382ba48315bb83a0e3062775ce&x=0&y=0)

Interesting, I guess some people must define lemming, as buying the best available for what you want.

But surely having a Powerbook undoes that?
