I don't sleep. I'm used to pulling 24 hour days, etc. Doesn't really bother me, and lemme tell you, the sleep when you get home rocks.

Well, I tend to post in OOT. Among other things. I try to trail off the drinking by 3/4 (its 5am here now), and then I make a big pot of coffee, turn of the lights, close my eyes for a few minutes, and pretend I've been to sleep. Works wonders.

Yeah, but thats a rather piss poor idea if, like the OP, you have to be up in a couple of hours.

Gah, I've always been an insomniac. I have never found a good solution though sadly, short of filling my days with a lot of activity, which tough while at uni.

I used to be a terrible insomniac...then I started going to the gym and running...a lot. No more insomnia...

Making yourself tired by working out helps. If you are not down with that.... two tylenol PM and a gin and tonic works wonders.

"If you are not down with that.... two tylenol PM and a gin and tonic works wonders."

Mixing spirits and tylenol is pretty bad for you.

There may well be something in your lifestyle messing up your sleep patterns eg not enough exercise, getting up too late, too much caffeine a million other things. You could try addressing those in the longer term. In the short term, I dunno. I tend to just lie there and think how much I like being in bed even if I'm awake.
