Maybe it is cause I'm getting older, but I love cooking shows now. Iron Chef rules, but is the new one better?

Never saw the new one. If they don't change the format much, I imagine the new one will be good. I don't think America will have as many main ingredients to work with as Japan did, but I could be wrong.

Iron Chef America just doesn't have the same feel to it as the Original. Its missing some of the theatrics that the original has and just seems watered down.

That said, I still watch IC-America and its good to see them making food that fits more with an American palette.

i used to like iron chef but my gf is [censored] obsessed with it. basically all i hear is [censored] about matsutake mushrooms and mapu tofu on the tv while i'm playing poker.

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-da. daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-da. daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-da. da. da-da.

I'm most impressed with Flay. He came across as a Emeril type TV chef on his old shows but Flay can really cook. He can keep up with original Iron chefs.

I miss the fortune teller judge. Also, the original had a sort of implied doom for the iron chefs if they lost.
