NLSoldier was a 1.58:1 favorite going into the river to win $3,000. He didn't.

He has AT, flop is AAA, turn is a five or so, and river is a Q. Negates his kicker, no jackpot.

On a positive note, he was able to extract nine and a half bets from his opponent who held 99 on the river.

The super jackpot was Aces full of Jacks or better I believe. This one was a smaller jackpot of twelve grand, and it requires aces full of any beaten by four of a kind or better.

viejas = best poker room

viejas has 3 hold'em jackpots. 2 small ones and the super jackpot. the smallest one is aces full of anything beaten. second one is aces full of jacks beaten or aces full of anything beaten by 4 of kind? and the super jackpot is 4 of a kind beaten?

Haha this hand was pretty gay. When the guy refused to stop betting on the river I seriously thought the deck had 5 aces and it was gonna be a misdeal...or worse, he would have a better kicker with his ace and would win the pot!

I woulda been way more pissed when the queen fell if the guy would have bet the flop when everyone freaked out and was like "pocket pair bet!" When no one bet I was pretty sure no one had a pocket pair so I didn't really worry about the jackpot till he turned his hand over on the river.

Oh well.

Same thing happened at a table next to mine at commerce a few weeks ago. Except after the hand everyone at the table took out brass knuckles, switch blades, sulphuric acid, etc. and started torturing the dealer to death.

shieet cuh, those 8/16 games look really soft but i don't wanna jump up too fast. 8/16 i would sit down with 5 bills, which is really no big deal at all if i lose but i want to get acclimated to the higher limits first. maybe play some 6/12 at morongo first before hitting the 8/16. its like climbing a mountain, you know you can reach the summit but you gotta stop intermittenly to get acclimated to the thinner air.

i dunno, we'll see. the 8/16 games don't start till later anyways. ill play some 3/6 first, if im up 2-3 racks then ill jump into the 8/16.

If you guys are thinking of a mini-reunion at Viejas, I bet there are a few more of us who might be interested in going.

That 8/16 is like one of the softest games in the world. Me and Justin have made a habbit of totally crushing it. The kill pots might cause fome problems for you though if your worried about your bankroll.

For those who play at viejas....

Have you guys ever played with those tools from UCSD?

Theres these two guys who like seem to think they are good and play relatively tight and whatever, but they are sooo gay. One wears sunglasses and a hood and headphones and tries to look all intense and they [censored] ask to see both hands or even all of the hands that go to showdown at like every opportunity. It is soooo annoying and if they are 2+2ers I hope they are reading this because as much as I like the viejas 8/16 I can't stand playing with those idiots. I'm assuming anyone who plays there knows who im talking about.

Ok rant over. So do you guys still wanna meet me /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Edit-Theres a guy named Jerald who i know is like an infrequent poster and goes to UCSD, hes cool, its the other two guys i cant stand.

o sh1t i think i know who yous talking bout. is it this kinda big azn dude? wears those big azz headphones that covers the whole ear and a baseball cap? then theres the white guy with short blonde hair? the azn guy plays 15/30 also. and the white guy plays NL and the 8/16. i don't know if they from UCSD tho, i got the impression that they were from USC. i don't even know if these are the guys your talking bout. but theres alot of UCSD and SDSU kids there on the weekends.

while we're on the subject of familiar faces. have you seen this white lady thats around 30-40 yo, wears a golf visor and sunglasses? has curly dark blonde hair and flirts with any guy/floorman/dealer? she plays 3/6. i see her there EVERY fucing time. she thinks shes good but she's not. the reason i noticed her in the first place is because this one time i was playing and she raised UTG with 7,5s and actually wins at showdown. the guy next time is like "watch out for her, shes pro, she plays here everyday". then a few hands later, this idiot cold calls my raise with Q7s so i disregarded everything he said. but the guy was right, she does play their everyday. buys in for 60$ everytime. she thinks shes good but shes not. shes semi decent. but still does some fishy sh1t. every once in awhile she'll straddle then raise the straddle blind. also seen her cold call in a kill pot with Q6s. also chases a little too much.

one last post before i go to bed.

tell me if you have ever seen or played any of these people. and if you have, please tell me more about them. everytime i go, i play 3/6 but i also scout the 8/16 tables. i recognize a few regulars. you could say that im datamining the 8/16 tables. anyways theres this middle aged black lady with bling bling on her fingers. theres a middle aged black dude with grey hair. he wears those old school leather sandals. theres a middle aged white male, wears a NYPD hat. theres this young azn guy, maybe mid to late 20's. his kinda skinny and lanky, always wears a simple-t shirt, wears a gold necklace, smokes. everytime i see him, i just automatically think YAG(Young Azn Gambler). then theres this older male with grey hair. his kinda short and wears long sleeve flanny shirts(like Al on home improvement, except its grey not red). i think he has a hispanic accent, not sure. talks way too much and trys to be funny. pretty cocky and likes to gamble. i think thats about it. let me know, thanks

I think I know a few of these people you are talking about but I will just address them as a whole....

They suck. Hard.

There is only 1 regular in that game that I would consider a "thinking player" and he is the 30ish guy that always wears a yankees hat/visor and is either dating or married to one of the board ladies. Not that he's good, but I would say hes the best regular. Other than him, the average VPIP of the players in that game is probably over 50% and PFR probably below 5%. Looooooose Passssssive to the max.

OK so the fucker was there again tonight and in the two biggest pots I won he told the dealer to cover the muck cause he wanted to see all the hands and he knows by now that I am willing to forcefully insert my cards into the muck. Unluckily for the dealer I won the pots and had to show anyways cuase I was gonna offer him a rediculous tip to let my cards get in the muck. Either that or i was gonna move his hand out of the way with one hand and jam my cards in the muck with the other /images/graemlins/smile.gif
