Actually, I don't hate Wake all that much since we beat them, and I have no real reason to be pissy at Duke yet. You better believe I'm making big white and gold I HATE JJ REDICK shirts for Feb 23rd though.

All three of the first half technicals were crap, btw, especially the call on strickland for hanging on the rim. It was obvious he was trying to avoid hurting himself and killing the guys under the boards.

All that matters to me is what they do in March. I'm predicting a 5-3 February personally.

edit: 6-2 or 7-1 are possible if they run good, but this is seriously about as hard of a schedule for a single month as one could have.

Have you ever watched a game he has done. It could be Illinois v. Kansas and he would talk about Duke more than either team.

I have the St. John's game, VT game, and GT home game as pretty much solid wins. Maryland on the road, GT on the road, WF at home and NC at home are all games in which I believe they have a good chance of winning. I almost wanna put the GT road game in the lock column, but we'll see if they've actually figured out how to play by then.

I really dont care who comes out on top. They are both obviously amazing teams in an amazing conferance (go GT, even though we are an eyesore lately). The only thing i have to say is get Dick Vitale off the air, he is the most worthless, bias commentator i have ever heard. If anyone actually likes this guy, you should be banned from sporting events forever. I'd rather watch the game on mute with some sort of music playing in the background.

Two things:

JJ Reddick was unreal last night. Dude is the man.

Chris Paul is real good.

Wake played a helluva game, and Duke just didn't do anything the first 35 minutes of the game. Suckage.

Dickey V is funny. He, just like the Fox announcers do to the Yankees when they are playing, swallows copious amounts of Duke semen.

It's whack. I've been a Duke fan for a long while now, and even I can't stand Dickey V.

Duke isn't very deep and frankly, they've either lost or barely won their only tough games. After losing at home against Maryland, it should be painfully obvious that they are capable of losing every one of those games.

Any team is capable of beating any other team at any time.

This is all posturing. Yeah, Illinois is rolling right now, and have a very legit shot at winning the whole enchilada. (In fact, they are my choice for playing in the Final Four just based on the two games I've watched them play this year. Can kill you many different ways)

However, Duke has the type of team this year where they *can* go into anyone's house and kick their butts.

They are scary good...when they are clicking.

Anyway, March isn't too far away. And I'd rather see Duke be a 2-5 seed than a 1 seed. Too much pressure on them as a 1.

Nah, not posturing. Just my opinion. If I had to pick, of the remaining games there I'd assume they lose @MD, one of the GaTech games, and one of the remaining 3 games, likely NC, but maybe @St. Johns.

Sure, if the other team lays an egg. But this is a very underwhelming Duke team.

I very much expect what happened last night to happen when Duke plays teams like Wake or North Carolina. You can't run with the Deacs or Heels with a bench as short as the Devils'.

Actually, you should beat us this weekend. BJ needs to get his ass better quick. We have a deep team, but our offense is built around having an outside shooting threat, and Morrow just isn't good enough yet on both sides of the floor to step into that roll. He's gonna be an assassin next year though.
