Is this considered the best monitor there is for multitabling?
I can't find a good price on one anywhere. Any ideas? thanks much.

Anything 20-21" that does 1600x1200 is good enough. The 2001FP is nice in that it has a 16ms response time, which is also good for gaming. I don't know if you've posted in the Zoo yet, but there's usually a ton of people there that are up on the best deals, coupons, etc you can get for the 2001FP.

it's by far the cheapest 20 inch monitor. there are usually coupons posted in the zoo once or twice a month.

ebay usually has it for 620 or so shipped.

I got it for 560 taxes and shipping included. Just search google for dell coupons - if one is available it shouldnt take more than 20 mins to find one and have everything set up.

I love mine.

Most importantly, do they help one get laid?

Yes. When a woman sees the Dell(s) on your desk, she knows you mean business. They love it.

I currently have a 19 inch monitor, has anyone switched from a 19 inch monitor, and if so, how much better is it?

If you have a 19-inch CRT you are happy with and it supports 1600x1200 or greater then its not really a big deal unless you decide you need the deskspace. Basically the Dell is the cheapest decent flatscreen monitor out there that supports 1600x1200, which is what you need to have 4 party windows open with no overlap.

How about a 17 or 19 inch LCD? I understand there will be overlap, but how bad is it? I've been multitabling on a 15 in LCD - it was ok for 3/6, but I'm missing a lot now that I'm taking a shot at 5/10 6 max.

my friend just got a 19 inch dell and i went to his place to check it out yesterday and started up 4 tables. the overlap was really bad. i would save up for the 20 inch if you are thinking about getting one.

The smaller ones aren't unplayable ... I used one for a year and did fine, but i made sure to sit in the corners so I could always see myself.

After playing on my new monitor (a 2001FP) it would be difficult to go back.

Word. My 19" KDS didn't cut it.... refresh rate has to be AT LEAST 75Hz on a CRT to avoid headaches, and having a bright display is good too. The 2001FP is worth every penny... i want another, even though I only 4-table...

I upgraded from a 17" monitor running 1600x1200 resolution. It makes a world of difference but is definitely not the most cost effective method for improving your monitor situation. CRTs are *much* cheaper and of arguably better quality -- they just happen to weigh a gazillion tons.

As far as the best flat panel monitor for four tabling that is cost effective -- the 2001FP wins hands down.

i just got my 2001fp about a week ago. i love it so far so clear and easier to 4 table. someone here posted a coupon and it came out to $558 shipped. you just gotta look for a coupon and its more than worth it

I gave the OP credit for not being dumb enough to start the 14th post on the 2001fp this week (or any week), in OOT no less, unless he was joking.

2001FP on the left, 17" LCD on the right (http://www.bradleyt.com/poker/pv.gif)

that's how I play.

No, he's really pretty stupid actually...

He doesn't have time to see all those posts in the zoo what with conquering his siamese twin lesbian friends.
