View Full Version : Do I keep betting? Do I call if raised?

Party 5/10 6-max.

KQo in BB. One loose limper, SB completes, I raise, both call.

Flop: As Ad Ks. SB checks, I bet, limper calls, SB folds.

Turn: 4h. I bet, he calls.

First question: given this guy is a bit loose, but not overly aggressive from what I've seen, should I fold if he raises here? I think so.

River: 9d. I bet...

Second question: given that he didn't raise the turn, how do you like this bet? And what should I do if he now raises?

Guy.

I check/call the river.

Whats he calling with? I'd say maybe a flush draw maybe JT QJ maybe a weak king.

Maybe he has an ace and doesnt want you to fold to a turn raise.

I'd check/call and hope to induce a bluff.

Its tricky without a feel for how passive and untricky the limper is but I would fold to a turn raise most of the time.

Must call a river raise getting 9:1 with busted flush and straight draws.

Unless he is incapable of betting the river without a great hand I would check-call the river. Inducing a bluff and avoiding the slowplay river raise are normally worth more than limper calling with a worse pair. He may well bet a worse king for you anyway.
