I've been to Canada for 2 week twice, and all I drank was Dr. Pepper in cans. It was fantastic.

You're reading my mind.

I was thinking to myself just how horrible regular coke tastes now since I've switched to Diet Coke.

Man, it's pure sugar. Yuck

Coke over Pepsi and its not even close; I do get weird looks when I ask for coke, get given a Pepsi and tell them flat out I don't want it.

Diet vs Regular is closer but I'll take the regular Coke.

When you get to Canada again, try the Coke and see if you like it better...

either. I usually order by name. It also depends on who i am with, as my vocab is affected by the people around me. Sometimes i even order softdrinks. Really, i think the whole "soda" vs "pop" debate is more ridiculous than the "what was KGB's final hand" thread in gen hold em. However, something that has irked me since i was corrected on it is the pronounciation of jalapeno. "Round these parts, it a Hal-ah-peeeeeeeeno.

Oh. Well, I don't drink soda, and I don't drink pop either, and I can't remember which one I'm supposed to be saying anyway. But yeah, either works as a mixer, in a pinch.

Diet Pepsi.

Both Coke products give me a stomachache - regular worse than diet.

Regular Pepsi is too sweet.

My beverage of choice is Pepsi in a can, but if it's got to be a bottle (20oz, Liter, 2-Liter) or out of a tap, I prefer Coke.

I only drink diet soda. I prefer regular Diet Pepsi, but once you get into flavors, I like Diet Vanilla/Cherry/Lemon Coke more than the Pepsi versions.

No Contest.

Traveling along the east coast cities, there would be a 75/25 shot of finding the beverage at a location. Thank you Texas.

I selected Diet and Pepsi for this reason:

The 7-Eleven Slurpees are way better in Canada, too. Can't really explain why, but the equipment was different from the U.S. stores.

(Yes, I'm expecting several "Slurpee" jokes to follow this post ...)

Regular Coke is good. All the others are crimes against taste.

The best Coke is the Coke you get in Spain. Or so it seems to me.

Coca-cola lemon light from glass bottle is by far the best lemonade. Yam!

That sounds good, but it must be a regional thing. I don't think we get it here, unless they just put it out under the Minute-Maid label. That can't be it though, because Minute-Maid sucks.

Edit: Ah, I didn't see the picture when I first responded to that. Looks like Diet Coke with Lemon.

Any pop in the old 16 or 18 oz bottle 8 packs. Plastic 20oz. bottles ruin pop. Can's are ok but man those old bottles were the best.

Hopefully the beer comunity will backlash against this trend and get rid of those horrible plastic beer bottles, yuck.

C2 is about the nastiest soda I have ever tasted.

All the bad taste of Diet with half the calories of Regular ... great!

(The pepsi version is MUCH better, but if you don't like pepsi that doesn't mean much. And I say that as a person who prefers Coke)

Pepsi blows.

Unless I've just had a regular coke, I can't taste a big difference with C2. Diet, on the other hand, tastes awful anytime.

When it first came out I was pretty excited that maybe they finally made a "Diet" drink that didn't taste like my ass.

I gave it a shot and it was terrible. My wife (who drinks Diet drinks) tried it and thought it was worse than Diet. All my firends that tried it thought it was terrible as well, most thought it tasted worse than Diet.

Maybe I haven't had diet in too long. If I try diet now and like it, I'm going to have to re-evaluate my life as I've been living it.

I didn't like it at first, but after drinking it for about a week (one bottle/day), it tastes like regular Coke to me, just not as sweet. It's a nice midpoint between the diet and regular, I think.
