He pulled in a huge buck in the Stars tournament Sunday.

I was playing in a tournament myself while watching the final table of the Sunday $500 tournament. A deal was being made among the final 5, and "Foxyplayer" was being the biggest bitch about getting the most money for him/her, in spite of the fact he/she had the least chips on the table. Little did I know that greedy insolent money-grubbing bastard was Daryn. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

5th paid 37k. He finished 5th, and scored 58k.

That was some awesome dealmaking, Daryn. Great stuff.

Aww crap I just realized there's a thread on this on page 2.

My mistake!

Oh well, my words are the same. Gratz.

In related news, there's a huge pile of burning cowshit in Nebraska:

Also, in case there are those out there who cannot interpret OOT properly, I'm raggin on the OP, not Daryn. Congrats, Daryn.

ty.. let that be a lesson to all! negotiations 101. just drop the hammer on them. the key was, even though this is a lot of money to me, i didn't really care about a deal. i had no fear and was willing to play it out.

everyone is like, petrified of the grinder or something, HAHAHHAAH...

It's truly sad that people are so incompetent that you were able to get this much more than your equity share. The difference isn't small, and the deal is terrible. Good job.
