Rate this Band: Foo Fighters

The Diablo thread about pop music inspired this poll. Over the holdiays I returned to my high school stomping grounds and hung out with a friend from the old days. In general his taste in Rock'n'Roll type music is impeccable. But we got into a huge argument about The Foo Fighters. I say Foo Fighters lick balls. After listening to this band I can understand why Kurt blew his brains out. My buddy thinks the Foo Fighters rock. I was shocked. I still think he was stoned and just pulling my leg. Now you tell me.

BTW - Hoobestank fans are not allowed to vote in this poll. They might go down as one of the top ten worst bands of 2000-2010.

I vote, "meh" I know people who think they suck, but I never had a problem with them but I never bought/downloaded any of their music either.

I voted No Opinion. I like a few of their songs, but don't think they're the saviour of rock & roll by any means. I also was VERY disappointed with their second album. It absolutely blows once you get past All My Life, which is pretty bad seeing how that's the opening track.

If you can't figure out good poll options just make a poll 1-5 or 1-10, etc. There's a lot of middle ground in life and music is no different. I like a few of their songs but they aren't the best band i've ever heard. I also don't dislike them.

That was NOT their second album. You're missing two of the following; their self titled first album which is amazing, their seminal second album The Colour And The Shape or There is Nothing Left to lose. I do agree that their latest effort was a bit dissapointing but still great.

Yeah. Everlong. Definitely one of the best pop-rock songs since it was published. If they had nothing else decent to their credit they'd be good in my book.

It is a truly great song.

In fact, Everlong and My Hero are the two things that differentiate Foo Fighters from all of the other not awful/not actually good bands out there.
