SB is a 2+2er

I could use some feedback on the turn and river actions. I think my turn call is right, but my river call is wrong.

Thanks

I think this is a river you can fold.

I would fold on the turn to the CR.

Why? I agree with everyone that I should have folded the river, but I am not sure that I should fold the turn. If you consider that I will get 1 more bet from villian on river, I am getting 12:1 effective odds to call.

An argument for not calling would need to discount my 5 outs down to less than 4, i.e. you are saying that if I hit my 2 pair, I still lose more than 20% of the time.

Can you expand on your reason for folding the turn?

Thanks

Obviously, every semibluff in the world came in on the river, so if you weren't beat on the turn, you're beat on the river.

The only reason to call is to find out whether he was semibluffing/what he 3-bet you with. If you're sticking in the game, it's not a horrible cost for the info as it's 4-handed right now -- and if he thinks he can't push you off of 2nd pair, he's more likely to stay honest in the future. I like honesty in my opponents when it's 4-handed /images/graemlins/smile.gif.

But from a pure immediate EV standpoint, folding the river is correct methinks.
