over 21? lead a high school crew in a state/national forest. Under 18- be a high school crew member. 18-25 and got a free year try one of their internships, or their year round conservation crews/environmental education programs.
I was in a high school crew at 17, and when i was 20 did a split program spending 4 months teaching EE in a public school and 4 months of trail work in the state parks in Mass. Some of my best memories. I am applying to lead my first crew this year.
