I'm not going to be able to spend Valentine’s day with my g/f this year, so I decided to burn her a cd full of love songs that she would love, I tried not to be too girly but the truth is she loves this crap. Anyway I have 11 songs and I think I have room for 4 or 5 more, any suggestions? Here's what I have so far.
Monica- Angel of mine
98 degrees- My everything
98 degrees- It's all because of you
Barry White- Cant get enough of your love
Barry White- You sexy thing
Aerosmith- I don't wanna miss a thing
Blink 182- I miss you
Tonic- If you can only see
Life House- Breathe
Life House- Everything
Lauryn Hill- You're just too good to be true

Craig David - You Don't Miss Your Water (Til The Well Runs Dry)
All 4 One - I Swear (This should be mandatory)
All 4 One - I Can Love You Like That
Edwin McCain - I'll Be
Four really good ones, should help your CD out...I'll look through my collection for more if I can find 'em.

How about I Want to Know What Love Is by Foreigner? That's a pretty sappy love song...

Styx - Lady
anything by Tom Jones (it's not unusual)
John Waite - I ain't missing you
Mister Mister - Broken Wings
scrap that 98degrees crap, throw some Rod Stewart in there. That man can melt womans' panties from across the room.
Oh yes, and try to sneak some 2 Live Crew. May i recomend "Face Down, Ass up"

Album: Banned in the U.S.A./Live In Concert
Song: Face Down Ass Up
Chorus(2x): [Luke]
FACE DOWN ASS UP!
THAT'S THE WAY WE LIKE TO [censored]! (repeated by the rest of the Crew)
Verse 1: [Fresh Kid Ice]
I'm lookin' for a bitch to spend the night
Do the crazy thing while I [censored] all night
I make her do things like nothing before
And when I'm done, she'll always be sore
From the things I do when I'm [censored]'
And when I'm tired, the bitches are suckin'
A double team with a friend of mine
Luke's in front and I'm behind
Just ridin' you like a pony
While you suck my dick, makin' me horny
Then all of a sudden we'll switch positions
Prop your ass up and freak the pushin'And when
I cum, you'll hear me roar
I'll treat any bitch like a whore
'Cause it's the way I like to [censored]
It's face down and ass up!

How about Jackal's "She Loves My Cock"?
If I ever get married, I'm hoping to use this as our wedding song. Won't be a dry eye in the place. (sniff)

Did a similar thing a while back. Here are a couple of suggestions:
Lonestar- Amazed
Eric Clapton- Wonderful Tonight
Mr. Big- To Be With You
Percy Sledge- When a Man Loves a Woman
Joe- No One Else Comes Close
Righteous Brothers- Unchained Melody
Aaron Neville and Linda Ronstadt- I Don't Know Much
Definitely agree with Life House- Everything. I'd say it's one of the best love songs out there. But toss out the 98 Degrees and replace with Savage Garden (Truly Madly Deeply, I Knew I loved you, etc.) if you need to be cheesy. Hope it goes well.
Regards,
Steve
Kem "Love Calls"
Maxwell "Fortunate"
John Legend "Ordinary People"
Force MDs "Tender Love"

Beautiful In My Eyes - Joshua Kadison
Crazy Love - Brian McKnight or Van Morrison
If I Ever Fall - Shai (old school, but essential)
True Companion - Marc Cohn
Something in the Way She Moves - James Taylor
F*ck Her Gently - Tenacious D
Medium Pace - Adam Sandler
When You Say Nothing At All - Ronan Keating
In Your Eyes - Peter Gabriel (although there are about 2-3 covers of this song that are just as good, if not better. Pat McGee has one, Jeffrey Gaines also has one).
When I See You Smile - John Waite (Uncle Sam and Keb' Mo' both have good covers of this one, too)

Okay, this thread could end with Al Green, but it also needs a little "Lovely Day" by Bill Withers.

The three that must be on any mix cd for a gf (you may not like them, but 99% of all females do):
Always-Atlantic Starr
Tender Love-Force MDs
I Need Love-LL Cool J
also:
Forever-Kool and the Gang
Stay away from:
Me and Mrs. Jones-Billy Paul
All Cried Out-Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam
As We Lay-Shirly Murdock
Super Woman-Karen White
How Could an Angel Break My Heart-Tomi Braxton
we (males) just hear the tempo and think "slow jam=love song". females actually listen to the words.

Bob Marley - Turn your lights down low is certainly a song I'm adding to the cd I make (we're not very creative are we?)
Eric Clapton -- Wonderful Tonight
Chris Deburg -- Lady in Red
Namie Amuro -- Can you celebrate?
Lionel Richie -- Hello
Beatles -- I should have known better
The Platters -- Earth Angel
Van Morrison -- Brown Eyed Girl
Any Version -- Heaven (dancing cheek to cheek)
Elton John -- Your Song
The Cure -- Friday I'm in love
Billy Joel -- Just the way you are
And whatever you do, I think you have to end it with:
Billy Joel -- Lullabye

I have no freaking idea how I left off Amazed. This is absolutely necessary, no matter what.
Also, if she's into country at all, Tracy Byrd's "Keeper Of The Stars" may even be better. Screw that - it IS better.

Thanks guys, looks like a lot of great songs in here, I'm gonna have to go through them to see which ones she'd like. I hate having those 98 degrees songs in there but it's her favorite boy band, so what the hell, at least it's not the backstreet boys.
