Does anyone have any data on their ROI according to different days and times? (I'll be playing the 33s, but any level is helpful). In my schedule for the next 4 months I'll be able to play a lot of SNGS weekdays at around 10am-3pm in addition to nights and weekends (7-8pm weeknights). Does anyone think the games during the day will be significantly harder?

anecdotally speaking, and w/no real data to back it up, yes, the daytime games are tougher across the board. 6PM-midnight is the time when the fish feed the most.

I do have data from 1024 55's, but I really don't know that it's worth much. The sample sizes for each category is still too small to mean anything. The most interesting thing here is that my worst time is 4:00-8:00 PM and I think that's probably because that's when my wife has gotten home and wants to talk. I also feel that my worst play is typically in the morning sometimes, but my ROI doesn't really reflect that. The games from 8:00-midnight are probably a bit softer, but not that significant.

Time (Central) # ROI
0:00 - 8:00 6 66.7%
8:00 - 12:00 245 16.1%
12:00 - 14:00 174 15.5%
14:00 - 16:00 177 30.5%
16:00 - 18:00 107 6.2%
18:00 - 20:00 72 -10.4%
20:00 - 22:00 177 23.3%
22:00 - 24:00 66 28.1%
Total 1024 17.9%

Interesting thing here is that I don't do as well on the weekends. That defies logic, but again I attribute much of that explanation to the small sample.

Sunday 65 14.7%
Monday 195 35.7%
Tuesday 183 10.8%
Wednesday 151 33.7%
Thursday 161 16.9%
Friday 170 -5.3%
Saturday 99 15.7%
Grand Total 1024 17.9%

Ive been seeing a 8-10% ROI drop from evening to afternoon and from afternoon to morning. I dont even play SnGs before 4PM eastern time. I play other types of poker or just make sure I get my house in order so I can play poker at night.

A fairly general rule of thumb for afternoon play is the number of people online. once it hits 50kplus people then its normaly a decent pool of players until the later hours as it still stays good as the population drops.

I dont start playing till 5PM EST except on sunday and saturday.

10am-3pm seem the most fishy to me. That's somewhere around 5pm-midnight EST. Sounds good to me, people come home after work and blow off some steam.
