1/2 NL Live Game. 10 players.
Std Raise is $12 in this game.

Assume players are solid .. not super-LAG, not super-weak.
Stack sizes are all approx $200.

Hero calls in MP w/ 99. All folds to Villain who makes it $12 to go from LP. Few folds; BB calls. Hero calls.

SITUATION 1
Flop (~$40) 2 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 3 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 7 /images/graemlins/spade.gif
BB checks. Hero bets $40. Villain calls. BB folds.
Pot = $120.

What is the plan for the turn if it is a:
a) /images/graemlins/spade.gif
b) overcard to your 99
c) undercard

SITUATION 2
Flop (~$40) 2 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 3 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 7 /images/graemlins/club.gif
BB checks. Hero bets $40. Villain calls. BB folds.
Pot = $120.

What is the plan for the turn if it is a:
a) overcard to your 99
b) undercard

Situation 2 Alternate line-
Should Hero check the flop and plan to C/R the Villain on Flop (remem: no read as to LAG-iness of villain yet)?

Should the flop get checked thru, should hero bet any possible turn cards (other than the 9, of course)? Should Hero check/fold the turn on a non-9 turn-card?

raise with 99 from middle position. the hand would play differently after that.

Are you suggesting raising with any PP? (i.e. 66, 77, 88)

If not ... then how would you play those hands post flop on boards described similar to the one in the orinigal post that held similar undercards and similar draws?

When folded around, raise with 9's and up. Limp with 8's and under. Don't play 8's and under as an overpair. If you want to bet with them as an "overpair" think of it as a bluff. You'll have a better understanding of what to do with 9's and up if you are raising pre-flop.

id say 99 or 88 is the cutoff for raising from MP. if folded to in LP, i would raise 22.
