I am a newbie wondering if there is an ideal set of PokerTracker stats which relate to "perfect" adherence to SSHE playing strategy. I found myself at VP%IP/PFR/TAF of 28/10/1.81 for 650 hands, and after a re-read of SSHE, at 25/9.5/1.98 for 800 hands. What is correct for the .50/1 level of play?

I'm Vp$iP 25%, PFR 9%, post-flop aggression 4 and BB/100 15 (PT style) on the UB 50c/$1 tables at the moment. I have 10,000+ hands at 25c/50c with same stats with average PT BB/100 of 9.5

BB/100 of 9.5 sounds pretty high for 10k hands /images/graemlins/confused.gif

I started making money consistently (>0BB/100) once my VP$IP dropped below 20% and my PFR rose above 5%.

the ideal figure i've heard thrown about the most is VP$IP 17%/8% PFR which I am pretty close to now. your play looks a little more loose and aggressive than my style but that's not at all necessarily meaning you're not playing right either. the other more experienced members on this board will definitely clue you in better.

in my experience, the hardest things to let go between 25% and 20% are junk suited cards and low offsuit broadways out of position (plus A9-A8). those two categories seem like they warrant action but often lead to evil second-best hands and are net losers in the long run. sometimes you just need a trusted book or another player to tell you not to play them, before pokertracker makes it obvious.
