Are these correct plays or am i wrong here? How should these types of hands be played at this point in the tournament?

Missing some EXTREMELY relevant info: stack sizes. For instance, if he's got 4 or 5 BB, his range is probably big enough to make calling with Q8 a fine idea. Also your read on the villain at this point in each hand makes a difference.

stacks are even at 5000 a piece. Blinds are at 500/1000. The first opponent is a somewhat agressive blind stealer. The second player is much more passive, does not really attempt to steal blinds, plays straight up.

Bad moves both imho. Why risk all your chips in the preflop with the same stack as your opponent with that weak hand? Just see the flop and make a move there.

#1 Fold, although against a hyper aggressive SB it's close.

#2 Push, you only have 5 BB and you have an above average hand.
