Sahara Poker Room and DD/SD BJ?

Anyone have good experiences with Sahara? how is their poker room...
allvegaspoker.com says a good late nite NL game and good daily tourneys...

also if anyone has ever stayed at Sahara, how'd you like their rooms.. it seems to be the cheapest on the strip

also, how is the access to that monorail?

and how about their blackjack games...

I'll just comment on the Sahara as a hotel. I have stayed there several times, and when my old college buddies come to town it's at the top of their list becuase it's always cheap. The rooms are clean, but they're very no frills standard rooms. For the money, I think it's a good value. Especially if you consider how much time you really spend in your room when you're in Vegas.

The actual casino used to be very popular because it was one of the only places in town that offered $1 Blackjack. They stopped this a few years ago, and now the table minimum is $5. Frankly, I don't know who would play blackjack at the Sahara now at a $5 minimum table. For $1 it's fun, but at $5 minimum, there are other places I'd rather be playing.

I haven't ridden the monorail to Sahara, but there is a stop right there, so I assume it's very convenient (if the monorail is actually working).
