A friend of mine has a Mac, and wants to be able to play online poker. The only spots we've found so far that he can play are the web-based versions of Pokerroom and Pacific. Are there any other places that he would be able to play on without having to get VirtualPC?

I believe, possibly, bugsey's (sp) club. Might want to check that out.

Just saw a Hollywood Poker ad in a magazine and it had a Mac logo at the bottom. I assume that means it's Mac friendly.

Hollywook poker is just a skin of pokerroom.

Just buy Virtual PC and play on Party Poker. I do and it is fine for one tabling, alright for two tabling once you get used to it, and freezes if you try more than that at the same time. Overall, though, I think that's your best choice. Pokerroom is the only alternative, but they don't have as many games going at once. Poker Stars will not install onto Virtual PC, but Party Poker will.

I multi'd party on VPC for around 4 months, then finally just sacked it up and bought a pc. Best decision ever. Tell him to build a roll with Party and Pokerroom, and get the pc as soon as possible.

if you can spend $100 on VirtualPC software which will only work some of the time, then you might as well get a separate cheap PC with a monitor for $300 that will work all of the time (plus you now have a second machine to play poker on).

that's what I did and just 3 months of whoring later I had enough profit to buy a 2001FP as well.
