Damn icy Atlanta. I get back just in time to see the tournament has started. Oh well, good luck to everyone.

Side note: Who is gt6062b? Do I actually go to school with someone on these boards?

Sigh.... 25 places, 30 contestants -- and I bust out on the freakin' bubble AGAIN!?! I caught a pair of 7s, made a standard raise (which was about 40% of my stack), then got put all-in by a pair of Ks. Bleh. Off to PokerNow to try to salvage a little ego.... /images/graemlins/blush.gif

I want to be moved to an action table! I got awesome starting hands and any raise results in a blind steal from UTG. Limp in and see a flop with four others, hit my set. Make a teeny bet and everyone folds. This must be the tightest thing I've ever played.

You must be at my table /images/graemlins/smile.gif (Table 3) It's a tight group, that's for sure.

Still in (lucky, woo), with 17 left, as gt6062b.

Good luck to those still in, give me your chips /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Slick Al did you go to Georgia Tech? If not, you managed to make one hell of a similar name to those that GT assigns to students. Everyone's email address is something like gtg640h, gtg811a, gte7125 etc.

I AM a Rambling Wreck from Georgia Tech, AND a helluva engineer. I'd go through the rest of it, but it's long. Something about whiskey, gambling, and fathering children.

I used to be on as gt6062b, but that was way to confusing for people here /images/graemlins/wink.gif.

Al

To HELL with Georgia!

Out in 5th, lost AKo to PeterHarris's J9s, then AKo to QQ the next hand /images/graemlins/smile.gif. $70 for 1.5 hours, won't complain a bit.

Go Peter, take 'em down!

well played to those concerned, i arrived just in time to see the count bust out, poor fella.

My maniacal play on the final table cost me, my JTo 4-way meeting ATo all in when the flop was 67T.

Well done to the final 3, you earned your $100+. Glad it was a fairly flat payout, $80 is a nice coup for 90 mins. At least for me...

Pete Harris

sorry, al. I was screaming CLUB CLUB CLUB for the river.

lucky me. I was a bit loopy with 6 left, and deserved to finish 4th.

I'd like to add my thanks to the gaming club. I am sincerely looking forward to the next OIC, hope i'll make it above 1/2 next time!

Regards,
Pete H.

No doubt. He made as much as I did and I played. Not very well, but at least I tried.

Of course, the upside to having it at 5pm Central was that my wife went out of her way to make and bring me dinner /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Out in 20th (Az-Cat) when I took a totally unecessary risk with a good stash... (sigh)

Oh well, did better than my Cats today....

I played for the first 45 minutes, then had to run an errand. I had 3,000+ chips when I left, I get back at 6:15 and find that I have 260 left. I go all-in 2 hands in a row and build up to about 700, and catch A8o, I push again and PHarris calls with KT. K on the river and I am out 12th.

Congratulations to the winner!

But man...29th...

that is just sad...did I HAVE to be reminded of it?

/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Went to Pokerstars and won $55.00...so all is not lost and my fragile ego is intact...

Then the wife reminds me that I was the third one busted in the live tournament I played last week with a bunch of college kids...Yep, I'm a loser.

Thanks everyone =)

Was a very tough tourney to win for me at least. Was probably the best I have ever played in a tourney. I only have 7 months of practice though!

Congrats to everyone else you played well.
