Preflop: Read any thread that mentions '10BB' in the title.
Flop: You're only going to get called when you're beat.

Like the other response said 10BB and all, but at 9BB it is not that big a deal.

It helps to have a plan before you see the flop. If your plan was you were increasing fold equity by raising preflop and then all-in post-flop, you did it, but JJ is not the hand for that plan. Your plan was probably raise pre-flop and then push post-flop IF there is no card higher than a Jack. Anyway, I would guess that is what happened and then after the flop you decided to gamble that he didn't have a King.
JJ is commonly thought of as one of the most difficult hands to play, I think you should either play it for set value (limp - no set, no bet) or play it very strong to hopefully clear out all Ax, Kx, Qx. Of course K5 UTG shouldn't have been there, but I guess he was on the flush draw pre-flop.

I probably would've played it exactly the same way. I'm certain the push on the flop was 100% correct.

Pre-flop though, a strong case can be made for a push. After the limper, there's 250 in the pot. After you raise, there's 550 and he only has to call 200 more from his big stack... he's going to call. You clearly have the best hand, so maybe you don't mind a call. I can't really decide. After seeing your unfortunate result, I'd probably push next time myself.

You're Arsenaul? No wonder I think you're a good 10+1 player... another 2+2er!
