call allin or fold?

down to about 14 players. 9 places pay
blinds are 1500-3000 with 500 ante
theres got to be around 500,000 chips in play
2 tables left and im one of the lowest stacks with about 10,000 after paying the bb and ante which brings us to this hand:
im BB, all fold to button
button has been putting in a lot of raises from button and CO when folded to him. a lot of these hands he folded when somebody showed some aggression either preflop or post flop. i couldnt recall seeing him turn over a real hand.
so, the button goes allin for some 23,000 or so, plenty more than i have. the sb is out. then i look down at my cards and see 44.
what do i do? is it close?

push. you're down to 3bb and don't have the time to wait for anything better. the fact that you have to ask this question and that you let yourself to get down to such a small stack suggests to me that you have been playing too weak-tight.
