Question about GT+ or PV running on a remote machine

I have seen some posts on the GT+ and PV forums about this but they dont go into much detail.
I would like to sit on the couch with a laptop and play using GT+ or PV while pulling data from my desktop in another room. I have my desktop setup observing the tables I am playing and have network access to the PT database but I cannot seem to get any stats. In PV i get an error unable to open one or more databases and in GT+ I cannot figure out how to tell it where the database is.

XP on both machines.

Do I need to add the database info the the OBDC section in Admin tools??

Any thoughts.

OK, fixed PlayerView by mapping the desktops stations root drive c$. Instead of shareing the nested poker tracker 2 directory.
