How do you bet draws in a $10 SNG? I never know what to do in this situation.

Final Pot: t625

After the flop, I had an open-ended straight draw and bottom pair. If my opponent is playing high cards, I have the best hand at the moment. So, what do I bet?

Do I check and try to complete my draw as cheaply as possible? If he bets 4xBB, do I call or, perhaps, raise him?

Or should I bet the pot (I'll admit my minimal bet was useless)?

What about when the turn doesn't help me? If I had check-raised the flop, it's possible my opponent might check the turn giving me a free look at the river. But, what if I had bet the flop. Do I bet again or check?

On a positive note, I did discover a major leak in my game. Apparently, when I make a straight on the river I fold. /images/graemlins/blush.gif Sheesh! After the flop, I was thinking that I needed a 5 or 10 to make my straight, but, for some reason, after the turn it became 5 or 9 in my head. Of course, the instant I hit the fold button I realized I had a straight.

You have to think you were drawing where a flush draw was possible. Second, JT beat your straight.Third , you did not have the odds to draw that hand. Good luck
