I'm not sure I get the point of this post...

I am just posting hands that I feel I might have misplayed, I guess this one might be more based on results oriented thinking since I got to see he was bluffing at the end.

The bluff call... pretty effective...

I dunno what to say about this whole hand, i think you overplayed AJ, specially on that flop, but i dont play 6 handed much so dunno, and i think A9o is off his rocker. Seems like classic 2 wrongs made a right to me...

That guy is lame. Bluff-calls the flop, then bets into the 3 diamonds on the turn like he hit his flush. I knew it before I saw the results because I've seen it many times. I think it's a lame play and I usually make an info raise on a bet like that.

Most people on Party Poker would slowplay the flush if they hit it...especially since there was a good-sized preflop raise, if he would have made the flush it would have been either the nut flush or K-high, and he most likely would have underbet or check-called (same with a big set).

This guy seems like a moron so I would definitely have raised him on that bet. He was trying to set that up from the time he called on the flop. I have acquired quite an eye for these "bluff-calls" on the flop.

I do understand the fold though, having middle pair.

Are you advocating a check on the flop? I think this hand was well played.

No I'm just saying that most people on Party Poker who hit the nut flush or K-high flush WOULD check or underbet. I guess it just depends on the player's image in most cases though. Quite honestly I would fold the A9o before the flop, and especially after the bet on the flop.

This is a "I have read the results I can give the advice now" post.

Are you seriously saying you would raise the turn as hero?

Yeah, I was pretty sure the guy had ace-high or a low pair before I read the results. I've seen this play a lot lately.

I would have either raised the turn or simply called.

"if he would have made the flush it would have been either the nut flush or K-high, and he most likely would have underbet ..."

Turn: ($29.75) 5 (3 players, 1 all-in)
BB bets $8, Hero folds.

Looks like an underbet to me.

Damn that's true. I forgot about the size of the pot before the flop even came, with that one all-in. That does make things a lot different. For some reason I read the hero bet on the flop as $4, when it was $7. The $8 bet on the turn does look like an underbet in this case, making it much more possible that he has a flush.

Upon further review, this was an effective use of the bluff-call. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I meant limp, not fold.

AJo sucks out of position in raised pots. You're looking to hit two pair or J-high flops.
