Since I was watching one step2 game for fun, the final hand is quite interesting. I wonder if anyone make mistakes. Here it goes. 4 into freeroll of step 3 as usual.

UTG pushes with AQ and called by CO 88.

That play looks atrocious to me. The small stack SB must have been doing backflips when he saw his opponents were willing to go allin with such marginal hands.

Sheesh. I wouldn't have made either of these plays, but are they THAT far off base?

What about if it is the same cards but different players having them? AQ Seems like a push for CO or SB if folded to them.. Seems like SB should call a push with 88. Would you consider min raise or raise to 1200 from UTG with AQ hoping to play against the SB or steal and expecting Button or BB will only come over the top with a real hand considering you have a fairly big stack and CO would have been a likely fold?

Something like that. Step 2's the hardest one, but it's not because of most of the playerbase /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

The thing is UTG has third largest stacks and it takes 6 full circles for him to get blinded down. He could fold everyhand and get step 3 seats. Why risk with not premium hand? Min raise is probably better if he decide to play since the other two big stack is not particular tricky. They might already fall asleep. /images/graemlins/cool.gif

It's perfectly reasonable if sb take a stand with 88 since he does not have FE afterwards.

Actually, my bad, I don't know anything about the steps. I'm guessing they pay out differently. Top 3 move on? That would make a big difference.
