My thinking at the time was that I was gonna call one anyway so might as well bet and hope 1 or both fold.

Folding preflop would be standard without a read. You can 3-bet if you suspect a steal and can be fairly sure to get it headsup. With the button already coldcalling, I'm inclined to muck this.

I usually fire away on this flop. After your 3-bet they will fold enough to make this a decent play. If one of them folds, I fire away again on the turn.

I used to fold this too, but I recently had a discussion with James282 who said I should be more liberal in 3betting hands like AJ and KQ for value, even out of position like this. We didn't discuss a situation exactly like this, but my feeling is that he would 3bet here. Since he's a ridiculous poker player (not that you guys aren't), I took his advice.
