Does it make a difference here? Should I be betting double the preflop bet on these?

I would re-raise more PF. Make it like $10 or so. Then if I get bet into and hate the flop, I lay it down. If checked to I will bet ~90% of the pot on almost every flop.

I really don't think I can say enough how bad a play it is to min-re-raise preflop. It limits your hand range, doesn't get a lot more money in the pot and makes the pot size into that uncomfortable zone above 10%, but below 20% of the raisers stack. If you raise to $10 or $12 then the pot is big enough that it should be fairly clear you aren't going anywhere and you are unlikely to be faced with bluffs. If he outflops you, fine, but at least you made him pay to see it. This way, he knows almost perfectly how to play against your hand since you gave away its strength, but he only had to put another $3 into a $10 pot.

Ignoring pre-flop, I think betting 6 into a 13 pot is too small. Make it in the range of 8-11. There are so many draws he could call the 6 with.
