This:

Daniel Negreanu called in the small blind and Stolzmann checked in the big blind. The flop came 983. Negreanu bet 120k and Stolzmann reraised all in. Negreanu called. Stolzmann exposed a 7 T and Negreanu flipped over pocket queens. The turn came a 6, giving Stolzmann the straight. The river was no help for Negreanu as he becomes the shortstack at the table with just over 100k.

Followed by this:

Stolzmann raised to 200k pre-flop and Giang called. Negreanu called all in on the big blind with 120k. The flop came 2s 8s 7s. Stolzmann and Giang both checked. The turn was the 5s. Both checked again. The river was a 4d and Giang bet 120k. Stolzmann raised to 400k and Giang folded. Stolzman exposed the ace of spades, giving him a flush. Negreanu threw down AhKh. Negreanu will take home $384,322 for 3rd place.

So Danny gets crippled when he his QQ loses, and then goes out when his AKs gets beat. Maybe he needs to keep playing hands like Q4s, 74s, and 95o? Those types of hands seemed to help get him their.

Either way he has figured something out when it comes to large MTT.

He is going to be favored in every tournament he enters for at least the rest of this year.

He could've been crippled to about 600k much earlier when he went in with 77 vs. The Grinder's 88. Instead though he caught a 2 outer and now you're talking about the hand where he was a 2 to 1 shot of winning.

Is there something special about him entering tournaments that are being run this year? What makes this year so special? Probably every tournament he entered last year he was favored to win over the general competition. Don't expect him to go away anytime soon; I'd expect results like these from him much longer than a year from now.

He made the comment/complaint on his website that the structure of the tournament forced him to play only good cards.
