View Full Version : Planet Poker promotion?

I was playing stud earlier tonite on Planet

and a popup appeared touting someone named

Floorman playing at a 2/4 HE game. I checked

the lobby, and players were jumping into the

game.

The Planet Poker webpage had some sparse description of a promotion, but no detail that

I could see.

What the scoop here, is there a reason to jump

into a game when they tout a "celebrity"?

thx

As far as I know Floorman is not a celebrity, just an employee of Planet - perhaps he/she really sucks?!

I can't say I exactly run to the table when they announce that Roy Cooke is playing... yeah I really wanna leave a table of average players to take on a long-term pro!

Mind you, at the moment I'd run to any table as my PC has been broken since last Friday :-(

(I'm posting this from work)

Ouch, I know what you mean. My Gateway died in January and it took

three weeks to bite the bullet, buy a new computer, reload application

software, re-establish internet connection, etc. Three weeks without

low-stakes internet poker.

So, as far as you know, there is no positive cash expectation to the

Planet Poker promotion, it's merely an opportunity to rub elbows with

alleged celebrities?

If you get to play headsup or shorthanded with floorman, you should jump into the game.

He's not very good . . . only problem is to keep the game from filling up.
