Okay, I am still debating about whether I should go wireless. I currently have a regular D-Link router. I only have my computer and my PS2 hooked up. I am going to purchase a new PC in a few months, and I want to get wireless internet by then.

So, my question is: Can I hook my 2 PC's up with wireless internet, but still have my PS2 with all the ethernet cables(I don't think there is a way to go wireless with PS2)

If so, how would I do it, and what equipment would I need? Is it difficult?

It's very easy. I do this also. Get a wireless router as well a wireless NIC card for the computers you want on it, and plug the wireless router into the regular router you have now. All done.

Yes. Any of the standard Wireless routers have built in Ethernet adapters.

This Linksys router is quite popular. link (http://www.linksys.com/products/product.asp?grid=33&scid=35&prid=601)

Damn that's easy. Thanks for the help, I will be switching to wireless ASAP.

BTW-how's the connection on wireless? Is it good speed?

You won't notice the difference if all you use is the internet.

What about downloading things (specifically using BitTorent)?

Well your Ethernet connection runs at 100Mbps, wireless is 54Mbps and your internet connection is probably 512Kbps (or 0.5Mbps), so it really won't make any difference (unless your signal is really weak).

If you transfer files from computer to computer you will notice a difference of 1/2.

I use a Netgear router that is capable of 108 Mbps. There is a special on them at newegg.com (http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc.asp?description=33-122-143&DEPA=5) right now. I have had very few problems with it. I previously had a Linksys and had quite a few problems with it. Download speeds are nearly as fast as my wired connection.
