Why check the river? On the off chance that he does have a 5, the one nice scare card (makes either flush or straight) just popped up, and he checks over to you after betting hard.

Flop reraise is a little scary. Looks like he's trying to keep you in rather than push you out. Or he's just a complete idiot, which is entirely possible at this level

He's been the aggressor the entire time, so I don't really suspect a check-raise on the river. You're too likely to check behind him.

When he checks it to you, I think it's safe to bet.

I dont understand why i played the hand like this. I defintely should have bet the river, or even better, push the turn. To the guy who said fold preflop, no thanks. The 100NL on Party, especially late at night, is complete [censored]. The players were absolutely retarded 90% of the time, and i happen to like playing hands like 56 s00ted.

Turns out he was just a complete maniac. He showed down pocket 4s. On the very next hand he busted when he moved in with A high on the flop and was called.
