What is the carryover in chips rules? Do you keep the chips you had at the end of the STT or do you x amount for a given place?

The final round seems just like any other final table. How to play the other rounds is going to depend on what the difference is between surviving and winning those rounds.

It is my understanding that the amount of chips you finish with in round 1 and 2 carry over to rounds 2 and 3 respectivly. So while you MUST finish in the top two in round 1 and the top 5 in round 2 to advance, It is clearly advantageous to do so with lots of chips to give yourself a shot in the next round.

My question is how important do you think it is to have lots of chips at the end of round 1?

CLearly having a big stack in round 2 would be a huge advantage as this round acts as a bubble period and a big stack could improve their chip lead easily giving a good shot at the big money at the final table.

Thoughts?

At first glance it seems that you should play normally until 3 handed and then take excessive risks.

That is a first glance though.

As I don't play much live, my first question is, is 15% vig worth your time and how does it compare to the normal house rake for tourneys?
