Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (7 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

MP1 (t715)
MP2 (t380)
CO (t530)
Button (t1430)
SB (t1800)
Hero (t1390)
UTG (t1755)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J/images/graemlins/club.gif, J/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
UTG folds, MP1 raises to t100, MP2 folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB calls t85, Hero calls t70.

Flop: (t300) 6/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 8/images/graemlins/club.gif, 4/images/graemlins/heart.gif (3 players)
SB bets t55, Hero calls t55, MP1 calls t55.

Turn: (t465) 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
SB bets t175, Hero raises to t350, MP1 folds, SB calls t175.

River: (t1165) K/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: t1165

I feel like I should have raised the flop or simply folded pre-flop. Folding JJ seemed entirely too weak, as MP1 seemed very tight-ABC (most likely AK). SB was loose-ish, sneaking in with a lot of hands and folding on the turn after giving or taking action on the flop.

I feel sick to my stomach reading "Hero calls 55" on the flop.

I have no problem with your preflop call.

I think you should raise this flop to about t250. I doubt MP1 has the balls to call a 2/3 pot raise with just overs here, and if he calls or reraises you can easily get away from the hand with what is still an above-average stack. It also puts a lot of pressure on SB if he's got a gutshot or one pair.

agreed all around.

if MP1 is known to be LAG (esp LAG who will not give it up), you could push-preflop.
