is the ranking just based on number played or placing as well?

Depending on what level you play, it's definitely possible. If you play less than the 100's it'll take quite a bit of play. Good luck, if you make it I'll see you there.

Formula = SQRT {B}*(TN)/R

B= Buy-In of a tournament
TN=Total Number Of players in a tournament
R=player's Rank in a Tournament.
eg. $100 + $10 Single-Table tournament
you finish 5th out of 10.
Formula =: SQRT {100}*(10/5)

=SQRT {100}*(2)

=10*2 = 20

Tournament Masters points awarded = 20

I am praying that VIPS get awarded double. anyone know?
