View Full Version : Crazy Game - Labrokes - How To Play

Okay here's the deal checked out Ladbroke's new site and wow! I think because it is linked to their casino (you can register at the casino) all the players appear to be fruit loops.

Playing mostly $2/4 the games are usally 6 to 8 players. Two bonifide maniacs - playing 95% hands always for a raise mostly two raises or capped. Only 1 or two players folding preflop.

The point about this game is not actually the looseness before the flop it is their mad play after the flop. If you have a winning hand you will win a very big pot (no pots smaller than 12 BB most a lot bigger - seen a few 40BB + pots in my 5 hours there).

Now traditionally in a crazy game you want to play big pairs and big suited connectors. But now I'm thinking you should be playing any pair almost any decent suited cards because the pay off is so big when you make your set or flush.

One problem with the game is that every card is a scare card and they will try to bet you off your hand with an underpair to the board. You have to pay them off big time (lost 50BB in about 4 hours).

I think the site will grow and grow, it's advertised on their normal betting web site and if they push it through there shops as well it could be huge. And no knowledgeable American limit players /images/wink.gif

I'm just praying they start playing Omaha 8 - Oh the overlay!

Any ideas comments

This kind of games is a very high variances game. I have played in some very low limit home games like that. Top-pair top-kicker is almost worthless in a game like that. I like to play Ax suited and Kx suited in late position. Big pairs and big suite connectors or one gapers are also good. My experience with small pairs is not good. A flopped set is really not that strong a hand in that game. You need the board to pair to give you a full house. A set will be beat by a straight or flush a large percentage of the time in this kind of game.

You usually cannot get people out with raises, so raise for value, but remember there is almost always a straight or flush possible on any board by the river. With people playing any two cards, that straight or flush will be there many times.

Tight, solid play is very profitable in the long run, but you will have some very bad days where the fish eat you.
