A 60 player tourney $40 buy-in

100-200 4th round
I am one of the chip leaders with top 10, 4 tables left.
5500 in chips
Im in bb AJ off suit three callers and i check.

flop comes K T Q spade heart heart. Makes broadway for me:-)

I bet 2000, next player folds, next player goes all in 2500 chips, next player goes all-in 3200 more. I have 3500 in chips left.

Should I call or fold?

I called and was beat by the heart flush draw. :-(

I was left with 250 in chips.

Was this a bad beat? or a bad call on my part?

Thanks for your input

You flopped the nut straight and they're on a draw. Looks like you bet more than the pot, so you did you're part to take away the odds for a four-flush. I can't see anything wrong here? Just a bad beat

please tell me why you think it is wrong to call here with the nuts. True someone may be on a draw, but you currently have the nuts. If you can't call an all in with the best possible hand (with the possibility of an outdraw) then you shouldn't be playing poker.

You weren't playing Omaha were you?

If you weren't then this isn't even a conversation.

Not a bad beat.

Not a bad call. (You had better than 2 to 1 pot odds and a 65% chance of winning when you put your money in.)

Just a defining moment for both of you!

Better luck next time.

Put on you're reading glasses and re-read my reply. If you can't read correctly, perhaps you shouldn't be on this forum
