I periodically play in a live tournament at Casino Arizona where the structure is quite compressed.
You start with $2000 chips and the blinds start at 25-50 and double from there every 20 or 30 minutes. I think they stop doubling at 300-600.
What is the ideal way to play a tournament like this. Very tight early and then aggressive? Or agrressive right from the start seeing a lot of flops hoping to double quickly?
If I didn't enjoy live tournament play so much, I would probably not play this because the structure seems to favor luck over skill.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks
