i liked the first one a lot.

It was straight to video (for good reason). It was on On Demand and we got it because we are bored.

Just to give compairison, we turned it on Anaconda afterwrd and were relieved to find a good movie on tv.

aww man. just the idea that a second movie exists is almost enough to ruin the first one for me.

Starship Troopers 2 was the first movie I've actually had to take out the DVD and stop watching halfway through because it was so bad.

Tons of good nudity, and a really cool 'defending our base against a million bugs' scene.

The second one has nudity as well, but just as brief as the first movie.

The bug scene makes me wanna play Starcraft.

First one is highly underappreciated. Great satire + cool bugs + Denise Richards in her prime.

Yeah, no shit. Apparently the bugs can overrrun a base, but not through it. If they just had tanks the bugs wouldn't even be able to get in through the hatch.

You'd get arrested.

The second one was defintely one of the 'intended to go straight to video' line. Like wild things 2, etc. They replace the big names with a bunch of b list actors and make a shitty sequel. I don't really understand the economics of it, but i guess they must make enough off of the rentals and dvd sales from those who don't realize it's a POS before buying/renting it.
