i read in sshe that mathematically it doesn't matter when you post. i find this hard to believe especially in the 15/30 games where the small blind is 10. also, games frequently break online and to post right before your blinds only to have the table break right after your blinds is not good. i understand if you're at a casino and you are going to be at the same table for several hours that it probably doesn't matter too much where you post. but it seems like it would matter online. curious as to the "math" behind this claim. thanks.

For the math, just divide the amount you are posting by the number of hands you are going to see before you have to post any more.

So, for a 10/15 blind structure at a full table:

posting the BB: $25/10 = $2.50 per hand seen
posting at the cutoff: $15/7 = $2.14 per hand seen

And so on.
