I was in Vegas with a new girl this weekend and I really like her. She wanted to learn to play poker. So, I showed her the structure of Limit Hold'em. We played some face-up hands and I gave her lessons on position and hand selection. Then she wanted to play some face down hands so, I dealt the cards out.

The first hand she plays, she folds Q9s UTG, and says, "It's not a big enough hand in early, right?" I think I'm in Love. /images/graemlins/heart.gif

No, in all seriousness I meant it more like the relationship my wife and I have with golf. She plays, enough that she understands why I like to play it and why it's so great. And we golf together once in a while, which is cool. But she doesn't love it SO much that she wants to go everytime, or expects to tag along.

It's a fine line.

Joe is on the right track though, way better than if she didn't approve of poker and bitched about it.
