if you had to choose one what the better book?

i have SSH.

Examples in early position:

ITH has you limping with JJ. WLLH says raise (as does SSHE).

ITH says limp with 88 and 77 only after someone has already limped. Fold otherwise. WLLH says open limp with these pairs UTG (as does SSHE).

ITH says limp KQs. WLLH says raise.

ITH says fold KQo. WLLH says limp (as does SSHE).

ITH says limp KJs and QJs only after 1 limper. Otherwise fold. WLLH says you can limp these hands UTG (as does SSHE).

Thus, in early position, ITH is tighter and weaker than WLLH (and SSHE).

Now, I am not saying WLLH is a better book. Just disputing the claim that it is more aggressive, at least in its preflop recommendations.

If you have SSH, it's better than both. I would recommend Theory of Poker, Holdem Poker for Advanced Players and Real Poker II - The Play of Hands before ITH or WLLH.

why holdem Poker for Advanced Players before WLLH or ITH

isnt holdem Poker for Advanced Players for higher limit holdem? isnt that more advance than WLLH and ITH?

I am pretty sure his "before" meant instead of, not prior to.

Postflop play is better in ITH. It's also much more comprehensive, it goes into more detail about why you make moves. The hand quizzes are very good as well.

To be honest neither book exactly lights my fire, but I find ITH much better.

If you are starting to grasp the concepts in SSH then there really is no need for you to study WLLH or ITH. If you are having problems understanding SSH then I'd suggest WLLH. I feel that ITH style play overall will probably win more than WLLH (because of the post-flop play differences), but WLLH style play will be easier to impliment.
