CO checks, Button checks.

Final Pot: t1455

With an all in and 2 calls, I figured there's no chance I have the best hand and am probably dominanted.

It was only 300 more to be, but I couldn't be sure I was ahead even if I do hit an ace or a 9. What was more worrysome was that Button flat calls half his stack.

Turns out I had the best hand before the flop and afer the flop. Still good fold more times than not?

Push or fold situation, read dependent. Calling would have been absolutely silly.

yah i like the fold. someone may make a case for pot odds, but i think when its down to the last 5 and making the money...you gotta consider surviving. A9 is decent...but against an all in and 2 calls...you are likely to be pretty deeply involved regardless and be pot committed. Is this the hand you want to go out on?

I would fold as well...

Easy Easy Fold. You got enough chips to play with, an all-in with 2 callers, your behind 99% of the time with A9. My guess is your most likely up against pockets and AJ-AK. I only call here with AA or KK.

A9 is much better suited for stealing than calling.

Fold. I think the only reason you're questioning the move is the flop. Don't fall into the results oriented trap. You made the correct play.

[/ QUOTE ]Actually, I was questioning my play because I actually had the best hand of everyone. I didn't read any of them to be especially loose, so I was a bit surprised by my bad reads.

Turns out I was up against A8o, KQo, and KJo.

Edit: Just ran it through pokerstove and KQ is ahead of me.

equity (%) win (%) / tie (%)

Hand 1: 30.8660 % [ 00.28 00.02 ] { Ac9d }
Hand 2: 15.3988 % [ 00.13 00.02 ] { Ad8h }
Hand 3: 34.3386 % [ 00.34 00.01 ] { KsQh }
Hand 4: 19.3966 % [ 00.19 00.01 ] { KdJc }

Now, knowing their hands, still an easy fold? Let them knock each other out, and get a free ticket to the bubble?

Would you call with AKo or AQo?

It's weird in that I ran the numbers through pokerstove and both AK and AQ is behind KQ!!??

I think a quick (or not so quick) trip to the ICM Calc (http://www.bol.ucla.edu/~sharnett/ICM/ICM.html) can answer these questions fairly well.
