3-6 live game 9 handed.

I am dealt A /images/graemlins/diamond.gifK /images/graemlins/diamond.gif on the button.
2 early position callers, cut off calls, and I raise. Blinds fold, the rest call so 9 small bets to the flop.

Flop: A /images/graemlins/spade.gif 8 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 8 /images/graemlins/club.gif

It's checked to me and I bet. Player A calls, Player B raises. Cut off folds.

I call. (Good move?)

Player A then raises and Player B calls.

I fold.

Reads on A and B. Both loose passive players. In fact I had not seen A raise with anything until this hand. Player B calls too much but I haven't seen her raise with anything out of line.

If I do the math there are 17 small bets in the pot when it comes back to me.

It's obvious that at least one of my opponets has the 8. My read tells me there is a good chance that both have the 8 since I haven't seen either one of them raise with top pair good kicker. That leaves me with two Kings for outs and a back door flush draw.

Somebody do the calculations, should I have called one more bet?

No calculations are needed to tell you that you can call for 1 more bet on the flop.

Aside from that, you need to be 3-betting after getting raised on the flop.

I normally would three bet except for the paired board. Please explain why you think that is a good idea against these opponents and this board.

Because they could be raising a weaker A. Also, you get to see if betting gets capped.

How many hands have you based your passive read on these players?

This was a live game in a casino so I had been playing with both of them for about an hour. I had probably seen them play about 15 hands a piece.

Good enough for a basic read, but not good enough to lay down or not re-raise w/ TPTK
