i got into a shi*load of trouble a few years ago drinking wildcat8 (the 8 meant something, i found out later) up at whister.

my freinds took it upon themselves to remind me how drunk i was...

"how 'bout a cup of hot vodka man?"
"or your grandma's puss?"
"some old cottege cheeze!"

UURRGHHH!

and i no longer drink that crap. end of story. you're better off drinking real 'shine!

nah, portland beer is crap. you'll realize it soon. sry, man. no casinowhorin' eh? you're missing out... pm me.

seattle:

Pike St
Elysian
Maritime pacific
Pyramid
Redhook
Snoqualmie
etc...

portland:

grants (pbbffft!)
and 'hair of the dog' (which is almost good enough to make the difference- try the 'adam')

I am still thinking about it.

anyways Portland has Widmer which pwns hardcore, there is also Rogue and Deschutes.

yeah, they're both better than most seattle beer- but deschutes is in bend and rouge is in rouge river (i think?).

and if you like the Widmer Hef, try the Levenworth one- it's the best non german hef out there, imo. you ever go to K's? best deli ever.

and what's wrong with me that i don't get the 'Pwnd' thing? please explain it...

The 8 is cuz it is sold in 8 packs.I don't think you couldve picked a worse beer to drink,it tastes like [censored] but gets u hammered nice. Wildcat is huge in whistler because its cheap and 6.2% ,lived there for 4 years and had many wildcat nights.

I was about to say I would take Oregon over Washington, but Seattle over Portland. Deschuttes and Rogue are that good.

I'll hijack this thread and say neither compare to San Diego.

Pizza Port: Best. Brewpub. Ever.
Ballast Point: The home of west coast home brewers gone big.
Stone: The most well known, but their seasonals can not be topped. Imperial Stout=instant four case special order.
Oggi's: Would be huge in any city besides San Diego.
Ale Smith: Similar to East Coast's Dogfish Head. Prodcue amazing cellar-worthy beer.
San Diego Brewing Company: Screw their own beer, it's the vast assortment of hop-head beer they have on tap that gets them on the list.
